Using computer simulation technology, a composite frequency ultrasonic cleaning tank was designed and fabricated. Three groups of ultrasonic transducer vibrators with different frequencies were bonded to the same acoustic emission surface (tank bottom). The relative distribution of sound field voltage at each single frequency and composite frequency in the cleaning tank was studied and tested using a multi frequency ultrasonic cleaning instrument under high power practical conditions. The sound field distribution at each single frequency and composite frequency was truly recorded using coated paper in an aqueous dye solution. The results show that the cleaning effect of composite frequency ultrasonic cleaning is better than that of traditional single frequency ultrasonic cleaning, which fully utilizes the acoustic characteristics of different frequencies, eliminates the standing wave field, and makes the acoustic field more uniform.
In order to obtain a relatively uniform sound field distribution in the cleaning tank, researchers mainly adopt methods such as frequency modulation, bending vibration, rectangular thin plate vibrator closure, design of inclined bottom cleaning tank, and dual frequency ultrasonic cleaning.
